Important Information regarding the latest Covid-19 positive cases
Over the last 24 hours there have been two Auckland cases who have tested positive for COVID- 19.
BACKGROUND
Two cases who completed their managed isolation in the same facility and at the same time as the Northland case are now confirmed COVID-19 infections. The two positive cases completed quarantine on 15 January and have been residing in North Auckland since.
LOCATIONS OF INTEREST
Locations of interest for the two Auckland cases and the earlier Northland case are available on the Ministry of Health website. Anyone who visited one of the listed locations during the relevant timeframes is considered to be a COVID-19 ‘casual contact’.

COVID-19 symptoms
Symptoms include:
- a new or worsening cough
- a fever of at least 38°C
- shortness of breath
- sore throat
- sneezing and runny nose
- temporary loss of smell.
