Covid Alert Level 3

22 Sep

Whilst it is pleasing to move a level down and get some action on a return to normality, in reality, Level 3 does not change a lot for us at the moment.

Under Alert Level 3 the following rules apply:

  • No gathering for sport with people outside your bubble.
  • Group activities with anyone outside your bubble are not allowed.
  • No contact activity or sharing equipment or balls with people outside your bubble.

Thus, the playing of and training for cricket is not allowed.

The cricket nets at Windsor Park remain closed as they are deemed to be like playgrounds and thus not allowed to be used at Alert Level 3.

The good news is, that all going well, we might be going into Alert Level 2 by October 5th which would mean we could train for cricket subject to controls similar to what we did last season. That would also mean we would be on track to start the season on time.

Any start date will be dependent on the Council opening the fields after doing their post-winter renovations.
